Press Release
Winnie Tang, President (305-753-8791)

[Miami, FL - 3/1/07] OCA-South Florida Chapter is very disturbed to read “Why I Hate Blacks”, by Kenneth Eng, which appeared in the 2/23/07 edition of AsianWeek.

“There is a very strong effort being made to divide the African-American and Asian communities, and if things like this are allowed to fester then coalition building would be impossible,“ said Adrian Anderson, Board Member of OCA-South Florida Chapter. “The results of this classic ‘divide and conquer’ technique will be dire vulnerability for the Asian Pacific American community (particularly Chinese-Americans). “What a shame! I cannot believe this is happening! It is sad that we do not learn from history. The “divide and conquer” technique does not work. “United we stand” and “coalition building” are our goals, should be the goals of all people.” said Josephine Gordy, Secretary of OCA-South Florida Chapter.
